Updated: June 23rd, 2026
General
HakuHaku is an electronic online service of the Service Provider, including an internet search service and other additional services.
The services are provided as-is without guarantees of availability or fitness for a specific purpose.
The Service Provider has the right to terminate, restrict, suspend, or discontinue services purchased by the customer at any time.
By using the services, you agree to use them lawfully and responsibly.
We may update these terms at any time by publishing a new version on this page.
Services
HakuHaku's service offering can be viewed on the website as a Visitor.
HakuHaku's services can be purchased and used by registering as a Customer.
A Customer may purchase Service Credits ("credits") in advance, in exchange for which the customer receives access to the services.
A credit purchased in advance corresponds to an amount paid for the service in advance.
Credits can be purchased in advance as a one-time purchase or as a recurring subscription.
One-time purchase
Service Credits can be purchased in advance as a one-time purchase, in which case the Customer receives the number of credits specified at the time of purchase in exchange for payment.
Recurring subscription
Service Credits can be purchased in advance as a recurring subscription, in which case the Customer receives an amount of credits corresponding to each recurring payment.
The Customer is responsible for making recurring payments if the payment method does not include the possibility of automatically charging the Customer.
Service Credits
A Service Credit ("credit") is a unit that enables and measures the amount of paid service usage.
The Customer may use paid services in the amount indicated by the Service Credits. The purchase price and the number of credits included may vary between different offers.
A separate credit "cost" has been defined for using services, corresponding to one use of that service; for example: 1 internet search = 1 Service Credit.
Service Credits are not legal tender or currency.
Termination and refund
The Customer has the right to terminate the services they have purchased at any time.
The Service Provider has the right to terminate services purchased by the Customer at any time.
After termination of the service, the Customer is entitled to receive compensation for unused credits purchased in advance as a monetary refund proportional to the original purchase price, less a processing fee (€1.00).
A refund for unused credits is requested by contacting customer support. Refunds must be requested within 30 days of termination.
