What is HakuHaku?
HakuHaku is a simple and easy to use internet search engine, like Google, but without ads, tracking or AI.
Your searches are always anonymous. Your search history is never stored or sold to 3rd parties.
HakuHaku is a Finnish service that retrieves results from international search providers.
Why choose HakuHaku?
HakuHaku is for people who want peace of mind and privacy when using the internet.
As a HakuHaku user, you can hide low-quality results and promote good ones with Pink Pages.
The Pink Pages mark in the results also means that the site is considered a better and safer choice.
When you or someone close to you uses HakuHaku, you can trust that no data about you is collected for tracking or profiling.
How does HakuHaku work?
HakuHaku protects your identity by performing the search on your behalf. Technically, the service works by sending your search query anonymously to the search providers and fetching the results – without revealing who actually made the search.
The Finnish name HakuHaku was chosen specifically to describe the service's two-step operation.
